Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. Her early years were shaped by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, and the dramatic shows that she attends. At age 16 she started singing and studying music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive training in singing. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. When she moved into the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. The passion and love she has in music, art and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
