MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. In Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. This album peaked at eighteen on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he appeared in a duo with TINI to perform her stream song Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised within a musical family, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. He was taught how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. While his initial career goal was to be an animal veterinarian, his brother Julian convinced him to try learning to sing with an instructor in Cuban. It transformed his life forever.
