Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor from the United States. He started his acting career by playing roles in television series, like Opposite Sex, which aired in 2000. In 2005, following his appearances as a character in Not Another Teen Movie and Fantastic Four (and its sequel Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer 2007), he was recognized for playing the Marvel Comics superhero, The Human Torch. Evans was also featured in films of comics as well as graphic novels TMNT (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009), Snowpiercer (2003). Evans' portrayal as Steve Rogers/Captain America is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014, 2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018) in addition to Endgame 2019 brought him greater acceptance. As a result of his Marvel film work, he was one the most highly-paid actors in the world.
